WSSC SWIM LESSONS

The WSSC offers swim lessons to children four years old and up.   Swim lessons are run by the guard staff and offer a fun, safe environment for swimmers of all types.  In order to join swim lessons, you must first be a member at the WSSC pool.  Private lessons available are also with the guards for $15.00 per half hour.  They are arranged by a teacher and  a student for times and frequency.

Registration Date: 8:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Western Springs Recreation Center,
1500 Walker Street, Western Springs, IL. Numbers will be distributed at 8:00 am. One number per family. Registration will begin promptly thereafter. For any remaining openings, registration will continue during the week of June 9, 2008 at the front desk of the pool.

Cost: $45.00 per session, payable at sign-up, and non-refundable.

Each session is limited to 45 children per time slot. Sign-up is for the child/children of the person appearing at registration. No other registrants will be accepted.

Session times:

9:00 – 9:35 a.m.
9:40 – 10:15 a.m.
10:20 – 10:55 a.m.

Session dates:

Session I - Monday, June 16 thru June 27, Monday -Thursday
Rain dates: Friday, June 20th and 27th

Session II - Monday, June 30 thru July 11, Monday -Thursday
Rain date: Friday, July 11th (note: no rain date on Friday, July 4th)

Session III- Monday, July 14 thru July 25th, Monday - Thursday
Rain dates: Friday, July 18th and 25th

During swim lessons, the pool deck will be available for sunbathing, and the baby pool will be open for children 5 years and under.
